System & Compatibility
What the system does and how it works with the deck you already have.
What is Under Deck Oasis, and how does it work?
Under Deck Oasis is an all-aluminum ceiling and drainage system installed beneath a second-story deck. It captures rainwater that passes between the deck boards and directs it into a gutter and downspout, creating a clean, dry, usable outdoor living space below.
Can Under Deck Oasis be installed beneath my existing deck?
Yes. The system is installed below the deck joists, so the existing deck boards generally do not need to be removed. It works beneath most wood and composite decks, although unusual framing or structural conditions may require additional evaluation.
Will the space under my deck stay dry?
When properly installed on a compatible deck structure, Under Deck Oasis is designed to keep the covered area below your deck dry. Qualifying installations completed by Under Deck Oasis are backed by a five-year workmanship and no-leak installation warranty, subject to the warranty’s terms and exclusions.
Why choose aluminum instead of vinyl?
Aluminum provides greater strength, rigidity, and long-term durability than vinyl. It will not become brittle, is less likely to sag or deform, performs well through temperature changes, and is available in a wide range of solid and premium woodgrain finishes.
Will installing the system trap moisture against my deck?
The system is installed below the deck structure rather than directly against the deck boards. The joist cavity remains open to airflow around the perimeter, while rainwater is redirected away from the area below.
Quotes & Project Planning
What to send, how remote quoting works, and what affects the finished layout.
How much does an Under Deck Oasis system cost?
Every system is custom designed and priced. Cost depends on the deck’s size, shape, height, location, framing, color and finish selection, drainage layout, accessories, and installation complexity. The best way to receive accurate pricing is to submit a free quote request with photos, measurements, and a simple sketch of your deck.
What do I need to receive a free quote?
Submit at least 5 current photos of your deck, a simple sketch, and basic measurements showing the deck’s width, projection, and approximate height. Include photos of the house connection, support beams, posts, stairs, and any unusual framing. Also tell us about planned lights, fans, heaters, swings, or other accessories.
Do you need to visit my home before providing a quote?
Not always. Most projects can be evaluated remotely using clear photographs, measurements, and a basic drawing. A site visit or additional information may be required for unusually complex structures.
How much headroom will I lose?
The system begins below the deck joists and is pitched toward the gutter. A typical system starts approximately two to three inches below the joists at the high side and drops approximately one-eighth inch per foot, although the final layout depends on the deck and drainage conditions.
Will you need to remove my deck boards?
Normally, no. The system is installed from below the deck. A structural or flashing issue may occasionally require access from above, but that would be discussed before proceeding.
Design & Deck Conditions
Finish selections, accessories, and structural details that shape the plan.
Can lights, ceiling fans, and other accessories be added?
Yes, the system can be prepared for compatible surface-mounted lights, ceiling fans, heaters, swings, television mounts, and other accessories.
What colors and finishes are available?
Under Deck Oasis offers eight solid colors and five premium woodgrain options: White, Champagne, Sandy Beige, Clay, Brown, Pewter, Black, Haint Blue, Rock Maple, Light Cherry, Medium Teak, Karri, and Dark Mahogany. Panels are available in a smooth or rustic embossed texture. Contact us to request physical samples before making a final selection.
Can you wrap the deck posts and beams?
Under Deck Oasis does not currently wrap deck posts or beams. We recommend having this work completed by a qualified exterior trim professional using a durable composite or cellular PVC material, such as AZEK. These materials are better suited than aluminum to accommodate the natural movement, twisting, and expansion of wood posts and beams.
What if bolts or hardware extend below the deck beams?
Protruding hardware is a common project condition. The team evaluates available clearance and plans the carrier and ceiling elevation around the actual structure.
Performance & Care
Long-term durability, seasonal conditions, maintenance, and coastal environments.
Does the system require maintenance?
Under Deck Oasis is a low-maintenance ceiling and drainage system. Periodically clear leaves, pine needles, seed pods, and other debris from the surface of the deck, inspect the gutter and drainage outlets, and follow the current care guidance for the system.
How long does the system last?
With proper installation and maintenance, an aluminum under-deck system is intended to provide decades of service. Material coverage is governed by the manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty rather than a guaranteed number of years.
How does the system handle snow and wind?
The sturdy aluminum system was designed in Michigan for harsh Michigan winters. Each panel locks securely into the teeth of the carrier system, helping keep the ceiling firmly in place during heavy snow and strong winds.
Is there anything that could affect the system?
Your Under Deck Oasis system is designed for long-lasting performance, but like any exterior building product, certain environmental conditions require additional care.
Chemicals found in some plant and lawn fertilizers as well as pet urine can accelerate corrosion of aluminum if they remain in contact with the surface for extended periods. Promptly rinsing the affected area and following recommended maintenance practices can help protect the finish and extend the life of the system.
Homes located within approximately 1,500 feet of salt water also require special consideration. Airborne salt can accelerate corrosion of aluminum, which may affect standard material warranty coverage. These installations may require additional system pitch, routine rinsing, and ongoing maintenance to maximize long-term performance. Because of these conditions, every coastal project is reviewed individually before purchase and installation to determine the appropriate system design and warranty eligibility.
Installation, Warranty & Service
How the project moves forward, where service is available, and what coverage applies.
How is Under Deck Oasis purchased and installed?
Start with the free project estimate. The team reviews your deck, plans the system, prepares the quote, finalizes colors and accessories, and coordinates professional installation through an Under Deck Oasis crew or trained installer serving your area.
What warranties are included?
Under Deck Oasis provides separate coverage for installation workmanship and aluminum materials. Qualifying installations completed by Under Deck Oasis include a five-year workmanship and no-leak installation warranty. The aluminum finish and materials are covered separately under the manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty, subject to its terms and exclusions. Review the complete documents on the warranty page.
How is this different from a big-box under deck product?
Under Deck Oasis is a complete all-aluminum drainage and ceiling system planned for the specific deck and professionally installed. Material, carrier design, drainage details, trim, accessories, and workmanship all contribute to the finished result.
Do you serve my area?
Under Deck Oasis plans projects across the continental United States using traveling crews and trained installers. Availability and scheduling vary by location; send your ZIP code with the project information for current options.
